Along with this the medication also increases the levels of Dopamine in the system. Dopamine is an important neurotransmitter that helps in the person feeling awake and active. The reuptake of Dopamine by the synapses is inhibited, causing a pool of Dopamine being formed in the vicinity. This pooled up Dopamine is used for the activities during the day. Other hormones like Histamine (regulates the sleep cycle), Norepinephrine (wakefulness and elevates the heart rate) and Serotonin (regulates the mood, useful for memory and for Neurogenesis [creation of new neurons]). The effect of these increased levels of hormones is that the person wakes up with energy and is able to focus on the activities of the day.
Now that we have seen the working of Armodafinil and its need to enhance from the Modafinil smart drug compound, let us look into the brand version of Armodafinil: Artvigil.
