Coming back home from our workplace, we often feel fatigued and not the least motivated to accomplish other tasks. These receptors also called the Hypocretin receptors are instrumental in the wave of wakefulness in the body. As the receptors are stimulated the Orexin peptide is activated as well. This peptide is responsible for the regulation of arousal, wakefulness and appetite of the individual. As the peptide is activated the medication allows the user to wake up and be active all day. After this the compound works on the Dopamine neurotransmitter of the body. This Dopamine neurotransmitter of the body is responsible for the increase of cognition of the user, along with promoting wakefulness and treating various sleeping disorders. This neurotransmitter is produced by the Hypothalamus in the brain. The neurotransmitter is inhibited from being taken up with the synapses, causing the continuously produced Dopamine to be accumulated in the vicinity of the reuptake. Over time this process makes an excess of Dopamine available for the body that is later used for the daily activities of the user. Other hormones like Norepinephrine (responsible for wakefulness and elevated heart rate), Histamine (regulates the sleep cycle) and Serotonin (regulates mood, useful for memory and for the creation of new neurons [Neurogenesis]) are also increased by the smart drug. The collective effect of the increased levels of hormones and neurotransmitters gives the user the euphoric effect and the focus and motivation to go through the day successfully facing the challenges.

  • Modafinil is a cognitive enhancer that improves the cognitive functioning of the user and makes us think clearly and take smarter and better refined decisions.
  • It is also a wakefulness promoter and helps the wake up with vitality after taking the medication.
  • Various sleeping disorders like Narcolepsy, sleep apnea, excessive sleep disorder are all treated with this smart drug. In fact, the medication was originally developed for the treatment of Narcolepsy in France in 1970s. Later other uses of the Modafinil smart drug was discovered and made use of it likewise.
  • People suffering from Shift Work disorder are also helped with this smart drug.
  • Since the medication also increases the levels of Serotonin, the mood of the person elevates helping people fight depression and fatigue.

Modafinil is one of the best medications for the cognitive enhancement of the brain along with keeping them awake and active. Proper precautions should be maintained that can help in the purpose intended. Abuse of this smart drug compound can lead to many serious medical implications that can hamper your health rather than helping you out.
